Discussion: Antimicrobial resistance in conflict-affected settings

https://msfaccess.org/antimicrobial-resistance-conflict-affected-settings-field-realities-operational-challenges-policyAs part of World AMR Awareness Week (18-24 November 2025), the AMR Multi-Stakeholder Partnership Platform and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) convened an important dialogue: antimicrobial resistance in conflict-affected settings: field realities, operational challenges & policy recommendations.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the most significant global health threats of our time, and its impact is even more severe in fragile and conflict-affected settings, where access to antimicrobials, diagnostics, and infection prevention and control is limited.

This dialogue brought together experts and field practitioners to explore the intersection between conflict, fragility, and AMR, and to identify actionable policy recommendations for humanitarian and health actors.
