Treating DR-TB is complicated from a programmatic perspective: treatment is individualised, tailored according to which drugs a patient is resistant to. It is long and taxing, requiring people to take a course of antibiotics for up to two years and endure often intolerable side effects, Kenya 2011.

A new Ebola testing machine is installed in the laboratory of Mongbwalu General Referral Hospital in Ituri eprovince, DR Congo. The equipment allows samples to be tested on site, reducing the need to transport them to Bunia and helping teams obtain results more quickly during the Ebola response.

DRC: Innovative vaccination strategies to respond to measles epidemic

Tessy was in charge of a measles vaccination campaign in DRC for 2 months (June to August 2013). Since 2010, the country is affected by a measles epidemic. 200,000 people were affected. 4,500 died among which many were children. Since 2 years, 4 million people were vaccinated by MSF thanks to the collaboration of the local health authorities.
