As we turn the corner on another challenging year for the world, we want to share with you some of our hopes and dreams for better times ahead and the work our colleagues have been doing around the world to make them real.

Yes, 2021 has brought far more than its fair share of disappointments for all of us working to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from access to lifesaving medicines, vaccines and other medical technologies.

The failure of governments to show global solidarity and act together to end the COVID-19 pandemic, is disheartening. The deaths of five million people in the pandemic so far is unbearable and unforgiveable.

However there have also been some positive developments and the rise of a genuinely people-led global movement demanding equal access to COVID-19 medical tools for everyone in need, is one.

Now we want to share these dreams of equitable access with you, your friends, colleagues and families, so that drawing inspiration from our common humanity, we can together take a big leap in to the future and work to turn dreams into reality.
