South Africa: SECTION27, MSF and TAC joint submission on the Draft General Medicine Regulations

South Africa’s Medicines Control Council (MCC) is in the process of transitioning to the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA). New Draft Regulations for this transition were published and opened for comment. MSF, along with local civil society partners SECTION27 and Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), made a submission outlining concerns around the current regulatory processes and recommending solutions in order to have an efficient and effective body in SAHPRA.
