100,000 people die every year from snakebite, many more are disabled or disfigured. The vast majority cannot access effective antivenom treatment.

From the 21st-26th of May 2018, health leaders will gather together at the World Health Assembly (WHA) to discuss our most challenging health problems, including the hidden health crisis of snakebite.

During these discussions, countries will have the opportunity  to vote on a resolution outlining an ambitious proposal to tackle snakebite.

MSF is calling on countries to get behind this resolution and to turn these words in to action by supporting the development and implementation of an ambitious roadmap to reduce the burden of snakebite in the coming months.
