Paraguay – The scourge of the vinchuca

The Chaco region is covered with swamps, bushes and plains. Communities live in remote dispersed villages.
The insect, or bug, vinchuca, is the vector of Chagas disease, a very common but relatively unknown disease in Latin America.
MSF teams set out to raise awareness of the disease to encourage screening and treatment.
